    Drill Bit Suitability

    Our range of drill bits are suitable for use on manual, semi-automatic and automatic drilling machines including single and multi-headed drills. They are made from the finest steel, which gives them their top quality reputation, including:

  • Standard HSS Steel - Suitable for use on 90% of all drilling applications, and recommended for all table-top drills.
  • Teflon Coated - Reduces frictional heat build-up when drilling light plastic laminated work. It provides lubrication on the surface of the drill, which reduces melting of the plastic due to friction heat reduction. This is a very good coating for keeping slugs from building up and breaking the paper drills since slugs flow smoothly without binding
  • Tungsten Carbide Detonation - A long life drill suitable for drilling heavy board or recycled papers. The cutting edge remains sharper for a longer time by the Tungsten on the outside of the drill helping to reduce wear.
